Monster Crap October 2026 Induction Poll (Sam Neill Month)

As you all know, Sam Neill sadly passed away in July and I made pretty clear that I would be honoring the late great actor with the October induction. Now I know a recent death may make me change course, but I will deal with that in December as I made this promise and I intend to keep it. Unfortunately, several of the potential nominees are not readily available on DVD so I will have to do a rare number of nine nominees for you to vote on. So without further ado, here are the 9 nominees.

Backtrack (2015)
Adrian Brody Has To Go Back To His Home Town To Deal With His Nightmares (Recommended To Him By His Mentor Played By Sam Neill). Unfortunately, Ghosts From His Past Continue To Haunt Him In A Film That Is Sadly Drab In Execution.

Jurassic Park III (2001)
After The Disappointment That Was The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2, Universal Decided They Needed To Bring Back Sam Neill As Dr. Alan Grant For The Third Installment In A Film That For A While, Killed The Jurassic Park Franchise For 7 Years.

Memoirs Of An Invisible Man (1992)
A Film From John Carpenter That Has Sam Neill In It Being Terrible? How Can That Be? Well, This Is The Early 90s And Sadly This Was The Point Where Chevy Chase and Darryl Hannah's Egos Made This Film A Nightmare To Deal With And It Showed. Thankfully, John Carpenter Would Make It Up To Sam Neill With In The Mouth Of Madness.

MindGamers (2015)
This Was A Film That Was Released In The US In 2017 And Considering I Rated This As My Third Worst Movie Of That Year, You Can Guess That I Really Hated This. Sam Neill Is Wasted In A Cyberpunk Matrix Rip-Off That Also Somehow Involved Religion.

Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981)
Back In The 1980s, Sam Neill Was An Up And Coming Actor Who Starred In Several Australian Films So When Hollywood Decided It Wanted To Have The Final Part Of The Damian Thorn Omen Trilogy, They Cast Him As The Now Grown Up Son Of The Devil Who Has Become A CEO And Eventually Gets Named US Ambassador To The United Kingdom With Higher Goals For Himself Like The Presidency. Sadly, Much Of This Really Feels Like Real Life With Donald Trump.

Scarygirl (2023)
By The 2020s, Sam Neill Was At A Point In His Career Where Unless You Paid Him Good Money Or He Was Really Interested In The Film You Were Doing, He Was Going To Travel Far For Your Movie And Just Spend Time In Australia Running His Winery And His Farm. Luckily For Scarygirl And Unluckily For Us, Scarygirl Was An Australian Animated Film Where He Didn't Even Really Need To Do Much Movement And Just Lend His Voice As The Evil Dr. Maybee.

Snow White: A Tale Of Terror (1997)
In The Same Year That Sam Neill Did A Film I Really Liked Called Event Horizon, He Also Did A Horror Movie Take On Snow White (Although The Character Names Are Different) With Sam Neill Playing The Father Of Snow White Character Named Baron Frederick And Sigourney Weaver Playing The Evil Stepmother/Queen Character Named Lady Claudia. Lesser Known Film And Sadly, They Decided To Have Monica Keena Play The Snow White Character Named Lilli. Also Bad Directing Dooms This Film.

The Dragon Pearl (2011)
A Rare Family Low Budget Affair Set In China Where Two Teenagers Have To Go With Their Single Parents To China For An Archeological Dig In Search Of A Pearl That Can Control A Real Life Chinese Dragon While A Bad Guy Wants The Pearl For His Own Sinister Purposes. It Has A Monster So It Counts In That Regard And Sam Neill Plays The Lead Male Archeologist.

Under The Mountain (2009)
Two Kids Who Lost Their Mother Go To Stay With Relatives In Auckland, New Zealand When They See A Strange Old Man With Fire In His Hands (Played By Sam Neill). There Is Also A Haunted House And Strangely Enough, Underground Alien Organisms Who Want To Kill The Twins As Part Of Their Plans To Conquer The World. It Is Definitely An Odd Film For Sure.

Monster Crap April 2026 Induction Poll

I'm Not Mad......I'm Disappointed.

Although there have been a few moments of Seth ranting about the film, it seems to not be as painful for him to induct as the Planet Of The Apes remake. Guys, I need to make that pipsqueak's life a nightmare with the last induction before he gets to choose what he inducts from May till September. So I'm going to ask out of these 10 choices, give him something painful.

The Ring Two (2005)
The Ring Was A Huge Hit, Which Proved That Horror Movies From Japan Could Be Remade In The US And Be Successful (For Better Or Worse). The Ring Two Completely Crapped All Over The Goodwill The First Film Got.

Eight Legged Freaks (2002)
From One Of The Producers Of The First Ever Monster Crap Induction, Former WCW World Champion David Arquette And Kari Wuhrer (The Chick Who Got Her Neck Broken By Jon Voight In Anaconda) Takes On Giant Spiders That Come From A Mine.

Curse Of Bigfoot (1975)
An Extremely Bad TV Movie With A Lot Of Walking With People We Dont Care About And Maybe There Is A Mumified Corpse Of A Bigfoot That Comes To Life.

They Saved Hitler's Brain (1968)
Hitler Gets A New Robotic Body In A TV Movie That Somehow Is Longer Than The Theatrical Movie It Is Also Made From

The White Gorilla (1945)
Some Guy Decided To Re-Edit A 1927 Silent Serial As Well As Add New Footage Into A Movie About Wanting To Find A Rare Albino Gorilla, Which Is Now Public Domain By The Way

War Of The Robots (1978)
The Italians Loved Making Films That Ripped Off Star Wars And This Is One Of Them With Human Androids From An Alien Civilization Being The Bad Guys.

The Demons Of Ludlow (1985)
Killer Demonic Pilgrims Reside In A Haunted Piano. Unfortunately, This Film Is Not As Interesting As It Sounds As It Is From The Guy Who Did Monster A Go-Go.

Teenage Zombies (1959)
An Evil Scientist (Played By A Future Batwoman In "The Wild World Of Batwoman") Funded By "The East" Tries To Turn Teenagers Into Zombie Slaves In A Genre That Felt The Need To Have Teenagers Be Very Important (So Important That "Teenage" Is In The Title.

Voodoo Black Exorcist (1974)
A Mummy Attacks Passengers On A Luxury Cruise Liner In A Search To Get The Reincarnated Version Of His Old Love And Any Question Afterwards Will Never Be Answered.

Night Of The Blood Beast (1958)
Brian Glazer's Uncle Directs A Roger Corman Film Where A Dead Astronaut Gets Infected By Alien Viruses And Starts Killing People. Do I Really Need To See Much More?

Hahahahahahahahaha.....

Another terrible day for Seth Drakin as I've been hearing him get mad and disappointed with the Planet Of The Apes remake so good selection from you all on that one. Now we need to decide what he shall suffer with next month and there are 10 choices for you all to choose from. Here are the 10.

An American Werewolf In Paris (1997)
Let's Make A Sequel To An American Werewolf In London, But Instead Of John Landis (Who Had Directed Several Films Beforehand), Let's Get A Guy Who Directed One Film...And Instead Of Practical Effects By Academy Award Winning Effects Artist Rick Baker, Let's Do Dated CGI.

They Saved Hitler's Brain (1968)
Hitler Gets A New Robotic Body In A TV Movie That Somehow Is Longer Than The Theatrical Movie It Is Also Made From

Monster Crap February 2025 Induction Poll

I'm Back. Despite All Of Seth's Best Efforts, I Am Still Going To Torture His Ass With Movies Before He Gets His Summer Reprieve Since He Won Some Stupid Pick'Em Thing. So While He Is Clearing Show From A Blizzard As Well As Inducting That Terrible Snow White Remake, I Will Be Giving You All A Poll Of Ten Movies On Which Movie You Want Him To Induct In February. Here Are The Choices.

From Within (2008)
Sure Curses Are All Fun And Games Until You Catch A Bit Of The Death And You Have To Deal With Psychotic Religious Assholes Who Think They Can Take The Law Into Their Own Fans. Oh And Rumer Willis Is In This Film As Well.

Planet Of The Apes (2001)
This Was A Much Hyped Remake To The Planet Of The Apes Film Directed By Tim Burton And The Bastards Blew It Up So Bad That They Would Have To Wait Ten More Years Before They Could Get A Successful Planet Of The Apes Reboot.

Curse Of Bigfoot (1975)
An Extremely Bad TV Movie With A Lot Of Walking With People We Dont Care About And Maybe There Is A Mumified Corpse Of A Bigfoot That Comes To Life.

2025 Year In Review & GINO Award Poll

Oh, 2025.....you can go ahead and fuck right off.

If you all thought 2024 was terrible, 2025 said hold my beer. While there were worse years (2020 and 2021 come to mind to me personally), 2025 was the year where almost all the things you feared coming from 2024 came true. Donald Trump basically did almost whatever he wanted with no one having a spine to stop him (putting his name and taking control of the Kennedy Center, pardoning everyone from January 6, trying to charge all his enemies with bullshit crimes, completely hiding the Epstein Files, making ICE the new version of the Nazi SS, trying to start wars in multiple countries through words and tariffs, prices completely going up on most stuff, destroying parts of the White House, pardoning all of his con artist friends, and lots more that I dont want to talk about). More famous people (and many of them good people) passing away. Heck, the only good things about this year for me were the DC Defenders winning the XFL Title, the Toronto Blue Jays playoff run (which ended horribly by choking away the World Series), and the Carolina Panthers doing better than anticipated. Also movies and video games were good this year, but of course the business behind that stuff is complete shit with the AI threat looming. 2025 has been the first year where I legit said if there was a robot uprising or alien attack, I would side with the robots or aliens.

But that's not what we are here for. We are here to see what films are nominated for the 2025 GINO Award and another bit of good news, it is not the many choices that you had for 2024. So here they are.

A Minecraft Movie
Remember When We Saw This Trailer And Worried About All The Shit That We Might Be Subjected To? Well, It All Came True. Jack Black Continues Down The Rabbit Hole Of Being In Terrible Video Game Movies. Everyone In This Movie Completely Sucked To The Point Of Annoyance And At The End Of The Day, I Had ZERO Desire To Even Try Playing Minecraft. And Of Course It Made A Ton Of Money So Expect A Painful Sequel.

Anaconda (2025 reboot)
Jack Black Is Back Again To Be In A Completely Stupid Anaconda Reboot That Came Out Just In Time For Christmas. The Anaconda Series Continues To Be Attached To The World Of Monster Crap, Although This Might Be The Second Best Film (Which Is Not Saying Much). If You Hate Jack Black Or Paul Rudd, Just Stay Away From This Movie Because Their Type Of Comedy Is All Over This Movie.

Ash
If You Ever Needed A Sleeping Film Because It Is So Boring, You Can Go Watch Ash. Directed By Some Guy Who Calls Himself Flying Lotus, The Film Is So Devoid Of Suspense That You Are Just Waiting For The End To Come. Aaron Paul Is Wasted In This Film, But Thankfully He Had Better Work In 2025 That This Film Can Just Be A Foot Note To His 2025.

Captain America: Brave New World
Marvel Fatigue Completely Hit Us All And No Bigger Indication Of That Came In 2025 Than Captain America: Winter Soldier. Reshoots, Requirements To Watch Shows That Were On Disney Plus, This So Much Feeling Like A Movie That Should Have The Hulk Yet Doesn't Have The Hulk, And Actor Changing All Plague What Is Definitely The Worst Of The Captain America Films. Anthony Mackie Tries, But He Cannot Save This Mess Of A Film That Ultimately Became A Bore To Sit Through.

Clone Cops
Outlaws Vs Clone Cops Is A TV Show In The Future That Everyone Knows It Is A Show....Except Many Of The Outlaws. This Film Tries To Be A Comedy, But Almost Fails In Being Funny And When You Are Not Funny, It's Excruciatingly Terrible.

Five Nights At Freddy's 2
The 2023 GINO Award Winner Sadly Made A Bunch Of Money So A Sequel Was Of Course Made. And Everything You Hated About The First Film Was Made Even Worse With The Sequel, Including The Fact That This Also Made Plenty Of Money To Warrant A Third Film.

In The Lost Lands
Paul WS Anderson Returns To Monster Crap With All Of His Worst Tendencies Like Having His Wife Be An Awesome Badass That No One Can Defeat, Including Dave Batista Who Is Hired To Be Her Bodyguard. It Tries To Be A Science Fiction Western, But Fails To Bring Any Enjoyment That Either Of Those Genres Tend To Bring And Instead Just Goes More Towards Anderson's Boring Wants In What He Thinks Is Good Cinema.

M3gan 2.0
In 2022, We Had A Awesomely Bad Film About A Killer AI Doll That Wants To Be A Little Girl's Best Friend And Will Not Take No For An Answer. It Was A Surprising Hit For Blumhouse So Blumhouse Decides That We Need A Sequel That Is More Terminator 2 To The First Film's Terminator 1, And Heck Let's Release It In The Summer Instead Of The Winter. It Didn't Work.

Red Sonja
30 Years After The Original Film Came Out And Loads Of Development Hell To Come With It, An Attempt To Bring Red Sonja Back To The Mainstream Fails Once Again. This Sword And Sorcery Film Decides That We Don't Need Anything Linking Red Sonja To Conan The Barbarian Despite That Is Exactly How It Was In The Comics. That Only Works If The Film Is Good And This.....Was Not.

Smurfs
We Tried Once Again To Bring The Smurfs Back To The Viewing Audience And It Seems Nothing Was Learned From The Last Time Trying To Make A Smurfs Movie Because There Is Live Action Parts And We Try Once Again To Lean Into "The Word Smurf Replacing A Curse Word" Meme Because Of Course We Would. Also, Rihanna And James Corden Are Our Lead Voices And They Both Suck.

Snow White
Oh, Disney....Your Aching Need To Remake Every Animated Film In Your Library Continues To Be A Horrible Business Model And No Film Was As Big Of A Bomb For You Than Your Attempt To Remake Snow White. Having A Debate About Whether To Have Dwarves In Your Film Leads To A CGI Monstrosity, Having Gal Gadot Be The Evil Queen Backfires In Many Ways (Worst Of Which Is When She Sings), And Having Rachel Ziegler Be Your Lead And Going The Ghostbusters 2016 Route Of Blaming Bigotry For Any Backlash. And Then When The Film Bombs, Blaming Rachel Ziegler. 2025 Is The Year Where We Can All Collectively Say "Fuck Disney".

The Parenting
Max Originals Once Again Give Us Something So Awful That It Has To Be Nominated For The GINO And This Time, It Is The Parenting. Let's Put 5 Good Character Actors, A Haunted House, And Lots Of Toilet And Nudity Humor And Hopefully That Will Work. It Did Not And Instead Just Made Me Extremely Mad When I Was Done With The Film Despite Wanting To Like It.

Tron: Ares
Disney Continues Their Shit Year With An Attempt To Resurrect The Tron Franchise. There Were Plenty Of Good Ideas Actually In This One Like A Soundtrack From Nine Inch Nails, The Digital World Invading The Real World, And Good Effects Is Sadly Brought Down By The Decision To Have Jared Leto Be The Lead, Having Greta Lee And Evan Peters Give Their Worst Performances, And Having A Terrible Story. Well, Back To The Bin For You Tron As You Bombed Again.

Until Dawn
Until Dawn Was A Successful Horror Video Game That Made Player Choices Matter To Who Lives And Who Dies So Of Course, Hollywood Would Come Calling Wanting A Video Game Made Out Of It And Playstation Studios Was Going To Do It Right By Doing It Themselves. Then They Proceeded Completely Change How The Game Works And Instead Make It A Horror Version Of Groundhog's Day Combined With Being Stuck In A Cabin. It Was Rightfully Hated.

War Of The Worlds
Hey, Lets Take The War Of The Worlds Public Domain ID, Use The Same Technology That Worked For Searching And Missing, Get Plenty Of Actors In Their COVID Lockdown Places Act Like They Are Communicating, Have Some Godawful CGI Effects, And To Make Sure We Get A Great Streaming Deal, Kiss Amazon's Ass With Product Placement. What Do You Mean This Ended Up With Something Considered One Of The Worst Movies Ever Made?

Wolf Man
Blumhouse And Universal Had A Huge Hit With The Reboot Of The Invisible Man In 2020 So 5 Years Later, Let's Try To Reboot The Wolfman Franchise Again With The Same Director. Sadly Lightning Did Not Hit Twice And This Film Joins The Other Attempts At Resurrecting The Wolfman Franchises In The Trash. Just Let's Stop Trying To Remake The Wolfman Because It Just Never Works.
