The End of NFL Football Fan Addict

Well, I am sad to report that it seems the show between me and Robthemany is no more. I honestly knew about Blog Talk Radio's change starting February 1st, but my co-host ensured me that for one month......he would pay the money and we would have a Super Bowl show. However, that seems to not be the case and despite numerous attempts, I have not gotten a single word about what is going on from Rob himself. I wish our show did not end at the AFC Championship Games not being played, but apparently it has. It was a good run and the Ring the Bell segment still continues, but unfortunately this show did not.

NFL Football FanAddict 01-21-2011 Who Is Super Bowl Bound?

Four teams will enter and only two will be going to Dallas, Seth and Rob will recap how we got here, try to look into the crystal ball to see who will be meeting in the Super Bowl.

 

At the end of the episode, we went completely off topic in mentioning some overrated movies and some movies that we liked that most people hate. I did mention Shawshank Redemption as overrated, but sadly I mistaked that movie for A Beautiful Mind so I may have to watch Shawshank Redemption to remind myself of that film so hopefully that will avoid the hatemail from fans of the Shawshank Redemption (I still stand behind my comments on A Beautiful Mind). Oddly enough after this episode, I finished watching Blade Runner and oh boy, I probably could have talked about that film in that conversation.

 

For those keeping count, Rob was 2-2 and I was 1-3 in divisional predictions. One of Rob's Super Bowl teams from several weeks ago is still alive while both my Super Bowl teams were eliminated.

NFL Football Fan Addict 1/14/11 - Divisional round lives up to it's name.

NFL Fan Addict delves into week two of the NFL playoffs, there are four big games this weekend and Seth and Rob will try to figure out who will be going to the conference championship games.

 

Rob was 2-2 in the Wild Card predictions and I was 0-4. We talked about the coaching carousel as well and I even improved a coaching carousel theme music. But the good news for me is I still have my two super bowl picks still left and he only has one left. Not much to say otherwise.

NFL Football FanAddict 1/7/2011 - People, It Is Called Wild Card Weekend For A Reason.

It is time for the NFL playoffs. Seth Drakin, Robthemany, & special guest The Jobless Wonder will discuss the most important time in the NFL season.

The Jobless Wonder, for those of you who don't know, is one of co-hosts for another show Robthemany does called Delinquents Wrestling Broadcast. The reason he was on was because originally, I was not going to be able to do the show because I had to get my car battery changed, but through luck and hustle..........I was able to get back in time. The Jobless Wonder was going to be my replacement for one week, but when I was able to make it...........we decided to do a three man show and while I know that last week I said it was our best show, I think this week's show might have been better because with a three man crew, Rob and I were able to build more on our personalities while getting an extra hand in talking.

NFL Football Fan Addict 1/1/11 - The Final Countdown

Yes folks, I lost the bet and while no one emailed either of us with suggestions of crap I might say, Rob was more than gracious to find something for me to say as payment for losing our fun little wager. This may have been one of our craziest episodes and my favorite, because with this being the finale to one of the most bizarre regular seasons in recent history, we of course have some bizarre situations that could happen at the end of this season. Yeah, it was really hard for us to keep straight faces during the whole show and I think there were several times were we even broke seriousness to just have fun. Sadly though, you will not be hearing Europe's The Final Countdown.
