Monster Crap October 2025 Induction Poll (Bert I. Gordon Month)

I know you are usually used to me making this poll all about an actor who passed away this year who had plenty of Monster Crap films to induct, but since no one has died this year that would fit the parameters needed to get this kind of tribute (aka not have been in a Monster Crap induction before and have a litany of choices for me), I have had to go to an alternative and instead, we are going back to someone who passed away in 2023 and yet, I have never done a Monster Crap induction of even one of this gentleman's work.

That man is legendary B movie director Bert I. Gordon and I am shocked I haven't covered one of his films yet since he was will known in the 50s-70s for making B movies, mostly with a giant monster involved. Well, time to change that blemish and we do have an interesting array for induction options for you to vote on. So without further ado, here we go with them.

Beginning Of The End (1957)
Hi, I'm Peter Graves And In This Film, I Have To Deal With Giant Locusts...Sometimes On A Sheet Of Paper. Thank God I Went On To Be In Better Stuff And Have You Ever Seen A Grown Man Naked, Billy?

It's As Simple As It Gets. There Are Teenagers Looking For One Of Their Dads And Finds Out He Was Killed By A Giant Spider. Afterwards, The Town Gets Involved To Deal With Killing The Spider And There Are Plenty Of Hijinks That Ensue.

Joan Collins Stars As A Shady Land Developer Who Is Showing Prospective Clients A Beachfront Property That Is Under Development And Wouldn't You Know It, They All Get Attacked By Giant Ants That Are Controlling The Townspeople So They Can Make And Give The Ants Sugar.

King Dinosaur (1955)
Bert I. Gordon's Directorial Debut That Promises Us Two Astronauts Landing On A Prehistoric Planet Dealing With Dinosaurs, Including The King Dinosaur Known As A Tyrannosaurus Rex, But The T-Rex Is Actually A Green Iguana.

The Boy And The Pirates (1960)
You Would Think There Wouldn't Be Anything Qualifying In This Film About A Boy Going Back In Time To Deal With Pirates, But There Is A Genie.

The Cyclops (1957)
Let's Go Into The Jungle With A Crew Including Lon Chaney Jr. As We Try To Find A Missing Pilot In The Jungles Of Mexico With Mutated Earth Animals And Oh No, That Missing Pilot Is Now A Giant One Eyed Monster.

Food Of The Gods (1976)
