1934 - 2022
It is with great sadness that I report the last living actor who played an important character in the original 1954 classic Gojira in Akira Takarada (who played the main character Hideto Ogata) has passed away at the age of 87. Having lived a long life, you may remember him most from Gojira (or Godzilla: King of the Monsters if you have never seen the superior Japanese version) (and honestly, I'll know him mostly from that too), but we here in Monster Crap will know him for a different Godzilla role.
He will definitely be missed by Godzilla and Monster Crap fans.
